Safety

Due to the increasing number of people attending, certain challenges have been brought on to control pedestrians crossing the runway in front of aircraft taking off and landing. We have field procedures that will enhance safety, and not distract from the fun of the event.

Cross the runway only at the Unicom stand or either end of the runway. Pay attention to directions given by ground and Unicom personnel. This applies to pedestrians and those on ATVs, golf carts, and scooters.

Parents must maintain control over their children to prevent serious injury. We have seen boys throwing things at our pet geese, breaking our bridge, and “borrowing” our ATVs. Be careful of toys that could crash into parked planes like balls, drones, frisbees, SAMs, torpedoes, etc.

Dogs are always welcome. Please clean up the land mines and keep the pooches on leash.
