Reklaw Flyin

Reklaw Fly-In 2025

It may have been a small group this year because of weather, but honestly it was one of the best years ever. We had 688 registered attendees and 74 registered aircraft which included a Beech 18 and a T6. Leonard Milholland was there, 101 spry years young. A group of performance artists did a “chicken migration” down the runway on Friday night, which was the most amazing hilarious events I have EVER seen. I haven’t had a laugh like that in years, and I am so grateful for it. Looking forward to the video. The under 12 pumpkin carvers dominated Saturday afternoon for a riotous table of artists, stabbers, carvers, and Jack-o-laughers. The food was awesome, the hospitality was incomparable, and EVERYONE had a great time. It rained Saturday after dinner and raffle, a few campers were floating, but the runway was still hard packed. Sunday dawned with blue skies and perfect weather. We’ll have plenty of leftover patches for next year!

40thAnnual Flying M Ranch Fly-In and Campout

RAIN OR SHINE, COME ENJOY THE EXCELLENT PLANES AND FUN!

Your Fly-In host for the last 38 years, David W. Mason (85), flew west on January 26, 2024.  His ashes are now forever a part of the grass strip.  We’ll all miss his colorful stories of flying and comradery, but the Reklaw Fly-In continues!  He desperately wanted it to keep going.  So, Marcia and her crew of volunteers are clearing the brush and painting the tires for another year, or two… or three… Put it on your calendar, same weekend, same place, and be there or be square, to honor him with a toast, and hearty Thank You!

NO FISHING DERBY THIS YEAR
Due to the lack of fish and the very low water level, no children’s fishing derby will be held.  What few bluegill are left are under too much stress.

In it’s place:

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST FOR CHILDREN 12 AND UNDER
Pumpkins and tools provided, responsible adult must be present for safety.

Saturday 1 – 4 next to Registration.  Limited to the first 14 to sign up.

The old wooden Unicom stand became termite food.  The new(ish) stand is bulletproof.

Come early and reserve your camp spot — first come first serve!

Early camping spot reservations are being reserved for volunteers only!

Call Dave or Marcia to get on the volunteer list for the work party weekend.

Work Party weekend is Oct 17-19, 2025 and all volunteers available AND EARLY ARRIVALS are requested to come and assist in cleanup.

NOTE: the number of volunteers has been dwindling every year, while our age is going up. A bad combination, unless young folk start stepping up to the plate.

Please Volunteer!

Aircraft Owners, Pilots, and other Aviation enthusiasts are welcome.
